Thanks for downloading The Anxiety Reset: One Page to Peace!
If you’re anything like me, anxiety has been an annoying tagalong for far too much of your life, and you’re ready to kick it to the curb.
Maybe you believe that God offers peace and you know He wants to give it to you, but things just spin out of control so quickly and before you know it, you’re screaming at your loved ones, withdrawing in defeat, or searching for solace in all the wrong places.
Or maybe you’re not even sure about the whole God thing, but you’re ready to try just about anything because this panic and rage makes it just. so. HARD. to live your life.
When I discovered that God’s Word – the Bible – had a simple set of instructions that God guarantees will chase away anxiety and give peace, I knew I had to write it down, and KEEP writing it down until it sank deep into my soul.
Today, I haven’t overcome anxiety…because I haven’t had any anxiety today. But I know that anytime I feel that sickening urge to run or rage, I can take a couple of minutes and jot out my Anxiety Reset, and God will be good at His word to restore my peace and be with me.
Simply follow the instructions below. And if The Anxiety Reset does anything for you, I want to know about it! You can comment below or email me at trinity@trinityneilson.com.
Praying for God’s PEACE to be with you,
Trin
Instructions:
Make sure to save it on your device so you can keep using it!
2 Print the page
This is designed to be one page of regular paper; print several so you can keep them handy for when anxiety rears it’s gross, smelly, ugly head!
3 Read the Bible passage at the top of the page: Philippians 4:8-9
Don’t have a Bible handy? The YouVersion app or BibleGateway.com are great, no-cost ways to read the Bible on your laptop, phone or tablet!
4 Fill in the boxes
This is the “secret sauce” of The Anxiety Reset. The Bible tells us to “think about” things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. It also tells us to “put into practice” what we have learned, received, and heard from God. So, use each box to write down at least one thing in each category. The simple practice of thinking about the good things God has put into our lives frees us from worry and fear, and draws us closer to the God of peace. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me!
